Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology/Psychopathology

The Department of Psychology in Dedman College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in Clinical Psychology/Psychopathology. The position begins in August, 2014. A Ph.D. is required at the time of the appointment. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain a highly productive research program that can generate external funding and that would appeal to graduate students in our APA-accredited doctoral program in clinical psychology. Candidates must be committed to excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Research areas of special interest include, but are not limited to: biological basis of psychopathology with a focus on central nervous system activity, immune or endocrine systems, or gene-environment interactions, as well as prevention of psychopathology or comorbidity of psychopathology and physical illness. Applicants who are currently in a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level are welcome to apply.
Current faculty members have developed strong collaborative relationships with medical centers and community agencies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, offering access to special clinical populations and high-tech medical facilities.
